Ear, Nose, & Throat (ENT) Clinic
The Athens City-County Health Department administers specialty ENT clinics with full support provided by the Ohio Department of Health. ENT clinics are diagnostic clinics which provide an ear, nose and throat examination, hearing test, and speech/language screening at no charge to the family
The staff includes board-certified otologists, audiologists, speech/language pathologists and public health nurses. After examination of your child the staff makes recommendations. These may include tests, medication, surgery, therapy or observation. Our public health nurses provide follow-up consultations
ENT diagnostic clinics are available for children living in Ohio, regardless of parents' income. The frequency of clinic scheduling is dependent on local need and the availability of resources.
